Code of Conduct

The standard we hold ourselves to.

Every member of the ISO Consulting Forum commits to this code. It is grounded in ISO 20700, the international standard for management consultancy services, and it is what makes Forum membership a mark of trust.

Integrity

Members act honestly and ethically at all times. We do not misrepresent our qualifications, experience or the outcomes a client can expect.

Competence

Members take on work only where they have the competence to deliver it, and keep their knowledge current. We know the difference between consulting, auditing and certification, and we are clear with clients about each.

Objectivity and independence

Members give advice in the client's interest, free from undisclosed conflicts. We disclose any commission, referral arrangement or relationship that could influence the advice we give, including with certification bodies.

Confidentiality

Members protect client information and use it only for the purpose it was shared. Trust is the foundation of consulting, and we treat it that way.

Transparency

Members are clear about scope, fees and deliverables from the outset. Clients should always understand what they are paying for and what they will receive.

Respect and professionalism

Members treat clients, peers and the wider industry with respect. In Forum sessions we share openly, we do not sell, and we keep the tone collaborative and solution focused.

This code is the foundation of the Forum's standards of practice and the basis for the verified tier in our consultant directory. As the Forum matures toward a recognised professional body, this code will develop with the input of our members.

Hold yourself to the standard.
